Mount Royal Kantorei | The Mozart Requiem with Arvo Pärt’s Berlin Mass
Eckhardt-Gramatté Hall, Rozsa Centre, University of Calgary (206 University Court NW), CALGARY
Join Mount Royal Kantorei and friends for a special performance of the Mozart Requiem, a mightyand much-loved classic from 1791. Also featured is Estonian composer Arvo Pärt’s Berlin Mass, a resonant yet often haunting minimalist work composed in 1990. Mount Royal Kantore iwill be accompanied by the Kantorei Academy Orchestra featuring several talented young musicians from Mount Royal’s Academy.

ThisMasters Recital will include special guests La chorale Mélodie d'Amour,l'ensemble vocal Clé and l'Orchestre de chambre des Chantamis. Under the direction of Marie-Josée Ouimet, the program will feature soloists Casey Emunds, Catherine Kubash, Mireille Rijavek and Rob Curtis and will include works by Mozart and Mendelsohn as well as the Grand-Messe by G. Vigneault, amongst others.

One Voice Chorus (OVC) presents Rainbow Connections, a pride-themed concert that celebrates all the affirming connections in our lives and communities! This final concert of OVC's 2014-2015 season is about connections of the heart. It's about the power of singing together. It's about who we love, about the things that are deeply important to us, and about how together we weave the fabric of our lives in ways that will nurture and sustain us, both as individuals and as a strong and vibrant community. For this concert, OVC will be joined by members of a gay-straight alliance (GSA) from a local high school. GSAs are student-led organizations that work to create positive environments for LGBTQ students.

Classic Bronze | What a Wonderful World

What a Wonderful World" brings together the exciting combination of the amazing musical leadership of Fred Gramann from Paris, France and Classic Bronze, an elite international group of advanced handbell ringers. Under the tutelage of Mr. Gramann, handbell ringers from across North America spend four days of intensive rehearsals, developing their musicality, timing and techniques. Enjoy the lively rhythm of a unique African piece as well as the familiar Wade in the Water, What a Wonderful World and more. Yes, it is a wonderful world. Oh, yeah!
