A Joyful Noise | Christmas Near & Far
All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral (10035 103 Street), EDMONTON

Two choirs of A Joyful Noise will transport themselves and the audience to a variety of destinations around the globe, exploring Christmas cultural traditions through music. The concert will take off with a surprise Swedish festivity and then touch down in villages and towns in northern wintry countries as well as in warmer climes. Many friends of A Joyful Noise will be along for the ride, including soloists, brass, wind, and string instruments. The audience will take the reins of the sleigh during a multi language sing along of “Silent Night”. Eventually the choirs will land back in Canada with some favourite North American carols.
TICKETS$15 for adults and $10 for students/seniors in advance; $20/15 at the door on the day of the concert.

Corpus Christi Male Chorale i spartnering with Legacy Kitchens and Dennis Plintz & Associates with So the by's International Realty Canada to present the14th Annual "Music for a Winter Evening" concert with guest artist Tenoreand host Darrel Janz. Over the past 13 years, this event has raised over $1.3 million for Calgary charities. This year all proceeds, including ticket sales, will support the Calgary Dream Centre’s Room for Hope Campaign. This project aimsto raise $120,000 to provide access to housing and addiction treatment for 75 homeless men.

Greenwood Singers | The Many Moods of Christmas
All Saints’ Anglican Cathedral (10035 – 103 Street), EDMONTON

Each spring since 1981, Greenwood Singers has presented a program of choral music from Renaissance to Broadway.  The theme of the 2015 spring concert is Pastorale:  Music Inspired by Life in the Countryside.  The program will open with Italian and English pastoral madrigals extolling the beauty of life in the country and Zigeunerlieder, (Gypsy Songs) Op. 103 by Johannes Brahms with pianist Helen Stuart.  Ms. Stuart will also accompany the choir in Randall Thompson’s Frostiana (Seven Country Songs) on poems by Robert Frost.   The program will conclude with choral selections from the landmark Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, Oklahoma.
