Cantares Venezuelan Choir | Let's Sing Together Choral Encounter

Cantares Venezuelan Choir will be hosting the second annual Let's Sing Together Choral Encounter featuring the Calgary Zhi-Yin Choir, Vocal Motion and the Grace Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir. The event is a small choral encounter with four choirs performing for 20 minutes each and common songs performed by all four choirs together.

Spiritus Chamber Choir | Post-Tour Concert

In late April and early May Spiritus Chamber Choir toured to Scotland and Ireland, working with composer James MacMillan and performing at the Cork International Choir Competition. Upon our return we present a post-tour performance of music that we shared along the way and new works that we may discover in our travels. Don't miss it!

Corpus Christi Male Chorale | Music for a Summer's Eve

Be sure to attend the Corpus Christi Male Chorale (CCMC)’s "Music for A Summer’s Eve" with special guest Harmony through Harmony (HtH) for a great evening of music, sure to entertain and inspire! The CCMC will present a varied selection of audience favourites and HtH will present original music, composed and arranged by HtH members. The proceeds from this concert will benefit the choir’s ongoing community outreach.

Calgary Multicultural Choir | Celebrating Our Multicultural Roots
River Park Church (3818 14A Street SW), CALGARY
Calgary Multicultural Choir celebrates their 35th anniversary season by celebrating their multicultural roots! This concert will feature music which reflects the cultural mosaic of the members and their Canadian Heritage. The choir now has 55 choristers with backgrounds from 28 countries. The choir will also be joined by special guests – Calgary’s Foothills Brass Quintet and Nigerian dancers & singers! And because it is a time for celebration, Calgary Multicultural Choir will be collecting cash and food donation for the Calgary Food Bank!

Luminous Voices | Mendelssohn's World
Knox United Church (506 4 Street SW), CALGARY
Luminous Voices, Calgary's new professional chamber choir, will transport Calgary audiences to the world of Felix Mendelssohn, his influences and his contemporaries! The concert features the glorious but relatively unknown TeDeum. It was written in 1826 when Mendelssohn was only 17 years old. Luminous Voices will also present Handel’s Zadok The Priest as well as Bach’s Singet dem Herrn, a well-known motet which was performed in Leipzig in 1843, when Mendelssohn unveiled a monument to Bach. Two part-songs by Schubert featuring women’s voices and men’s voices in separate works will round out the program.
