CONDUCTING APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
An opportunity to work with AYC guest conductor, Elroy Friesen , and the Alberta Youth Choir will be made available to an emerging Alberta choral conductor through the AYC Conducting Apprenticeship Program. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with AYC in rehearsal and to conduct one piece in the Music Conference Alberta Gala Concert on Friday, 4 November 2011. The AYC Apprentice Conductor will also receive private conducting coachings with Dr. Friesen
Application requirements:
- a video/DVD of approximately 20 minutes in length which includes footage of at least one rehearsal and one performance
- a letter explaining the candidate's interest in the program as well as the reasons he/she should be chosen
- a resumé outlining the candidate’s choral conducting experience
- one letter of reference
